James and I went to visit Red House, the beautiful house in Bexleyheath where William Morris lived for five years. It was designed by Morris and the architect Philip Webb in 1859. We both tried to match our outfits with the house by wearing red. :-)

Kissing a man made out of red legos
I attempted to kiss a man made out of red legos at the "Art of the Brick" exhibition in Dublin. This man was one of many sculptures created from legos by Nathan Sawaya.
Galway
I've just returned from a trip to Galway, a lovely little city in Ireland. The trip was for both business and pleasure - I spoke at a conference on Victorian print consumption at the University of Galway and spent some time exploring the city with my boyfriend. We gazed at the beautiful scenery, ate delicious meals, and met some wonderful animals, including a little dog named Chanel, a big brown cow, and swans galore!
