Milan Cathedral

This large, gothic cathedral is the seat of the Archbishop of Milan. A basilica was built on the site in the 5th century, and an adjoining basilica was added in 836. After a fire damaged both buildings in 1075, a new structure was built from the 14th - 19th centuries. Breathtakingly beautiful!

My boyfriend enjoyed photobombing my shot of the altar. :-)
