Below are some photos of the beautiful flowers at Hidcote Gardens in Gloucestershire. The gardens were created by the American-born horticulturalist Lawrence Johnston and consist of outdoor garden "rooms" with varying themes. Particular favorites: heart-shaped leaves and reddish-purple velvety flowers.

These are all so pretty. I wish I knew how to garden, or even the names of the various flowers. Eh, something to learn. I like the pink ones with the green star centers.
