Street art in Williamsburg, Brooklyn

Five Guys

Love Five Guys burgers and fries! They sure don't make em like this in the UK!

Rockefeller Center

I spent a little time wandering around Rockefeller Center while in NYC. I was really drawn to the colorful flags and the art deco details on the buildings. The gold and silver designs were shimmering so beautifully in the sunlight!

NYC

Amazing view of NYC from London Hotel suite (where I was getting ready for my friend Christine's wedding).

American wing at the Met

Went to the new American wing at the Met while in NYC. This sunny sculpture room is glorious on a bright summer day!

Bizarre rat sculpture in NYC

Cat on a roof

I recently returned from a trip to New York City. While in Brooklyn, I happened to see this adorable little kitty on a roof. I hope he or she made it down okay!

Hatch Show Print

Hatch Show Print is one of the oldest working letterpress print shops in America, and my brother and I stopped by their shop in Nashville. They have done posters for tons of country music stars and other famous musicians. Loved seeing their amazing poster designs!

grey kitten

I saw this grey kitten when visiting relatives in middle Tennessee. So adorable!

Yummy treats

My mom and I went to our dear friend Mary's house for yummy treats.  Check out the gorgeous cupcakes, cookies, and sangria!  She even made "Happy New Flat" cookies in honor of the new flat I will be moving into in September!

Tennessee chickens!

Taking a break from London to visit family in Tennessee. Somehow these chickens ended up in our backyard!

Olympics font

There's been some talk around London about the weird font created for the 2012 Olympics. It reminds me of children's handwriting or the crude, knife-carved scrawl on bathroom walls in dive bars. Such an odd choice!

Sunshine!

This is the first week in London that feels like summer!  The sun is actually shining, loads of people are outside, and ice cream trucks are on the streets!  :-)

Grand Bazaar

James and I had the most lovely Turkish meal at Grand Bazaar on St. Christopher's Place off Oxford Street. The colorful lanterns hanging from the ceiling created an exotic atmosphere, and the food was incredible. We had some cool puffy bread that looked like a giant egg!

Nike Town

I made fun of my boyfriend at first for wanting to go into Nike Town, but it actually turned out to be cool. I left the store inspired to "make it count"! I loved the chandelier made of basketball hoops, tennis balls, and sneakers.

Grammar police in the loo!

Saw this notice today on the door of the bathroom stall I was in at the British Library!

Close-up (says "please dispose of unnecessary commas appropriately while you're at it"!):

My boyfriend has really long eyelashes.
