Salisbury Cathedral

hot air balloon!

So...I FINISHED MY DISSERTATION! YAY!!!

I went to a Welsh officers ball Saturday with my friends Alisa and Lindsay to celebrate! (Lindsay's Welsh boyfriend Jonathan is in the army.) I didn't take many pictures, but I did manage to get this one of me & Jonathan's brother Michael. I rode the hot air balloon despite my total fear of heights! It looks like we're on fire!!!!

new dress

I saw this dress at Topshop and could not resist. How can I say no to a silk dress covered with squirrels, birds, and little monsters?! :-)

Electricity Showrooms dancefloor!

Abominable snowmen = fierce adorableness

I love abominable snowmen. Especially abominable snowmen in the market:

Abominable snowman in the market,
That's right, you heard me right, gang.
And the housewives, they all remarking,
"Looks like a dirty marshmallow with fangs."
Well, there's an abominable snowman in the market,
Now he's down by the peas and carrots.
Abominable snowman in the market.
And they cannot chase him away.

heart-shaped things make everything more lovely

I like to treat myself to these heart-shaped cookies from the British Library when I've had a long day of work.
And I really like to use these heart-shaped post-it notes!
Excellent for marking particularly interesting passages in books!

Not London!

Back home in sunny Tennessee visiting the family. Took a road trip on Sunday with mom, pop, and little bro to visit my Uncle John and Aunt Helen in middle Tennessee. Made a few stops on the way home to experience the rustic beauty of the countryside and take some photos. I fell in love with the tractor cemetary, the donkeys, goats, guineafowl, cows, & horses. And I remembered how much southerners love Jesus!

Donkey love

The cows were staring at me like I was insane.

Pretty!

Goats at play!

Goats running away from me. :-(
Gunieafowl!

Thinking about crossing the street...don't do it!!
Horsies

Horse show!
Please attend dear Regina's "benifit"!
Tennesseans love America and Jesus...

Tower of London

I finally toured the Tower of London...kind of surreal to think about all the blood that has been shed in this place...

Algerian coffee in Hampstead Heath

Made with rose water...delicious!
