Fabsie exhibits!

I've been back in London a few weeks but have been very busy with research and the move into my new flat (will post flat pics soon). In the meantime, here are some pics from an exhibition at Testbed 1 / The Doodle Bar in Battersea. My boyfriend James was chosen to exhibit some furniture for Fabsie, the start-up he's been working on (http://www.fabsie.com). He exhibited a few plywood "scissor chairs" designed by Phil Seaton and a couple small tables. The exhibition also featured other great works by architect Will Alsop's favorite architects, designers, and artists. We had a lovely time and everyone seemed excited about James's digitally designed + locally made furniture business!

Winterthur

I visited Delaware while I was in the US and went to Winterthur, the home of the horticulturist and antique collector Henry Francis du Pont. The home is now a museum of American decorative arts. I took a few photos of the home and the surrounding naturalistic garden. It was all very beautiful.
